Barnsley House wedding photography – Pez & Annalise

BOOM….. Annalise is in the room.  That’s how it feels when you meet the lovely Annalise.  On 1st May I was at the delightful Barnsley House for the wedding of Pez & Annalise.  What a wonderful couple they are, full of energy, excitable, appreciative, yet cool, calm and collected (Pez at least).  Maybe it’s the Doctor in him, who knows, but they certainly work well together and clearly found their soul mates when searching the streets of London.  They chose to get married at Barnsley House having visited it many times for weekends away, “it has a home from home feel” Pez said, and you could certainly tell that on the day.  As one of the Cotswold finest boutique hotels it does have a lot to offer, regularly attracting Londoner’s on weekends away.  A spa, fine food, a cinema!!! I know, a cinema……I can’t say I’ve ever watched a film there, but I have poked my head around the door to check it out.

Anyhow, loads of fun filled photos to digest so take a few minutes out of your day and see how Annalise & Pez’s wedding went at Barnsley House.

Barnsley House in Spring

Spring is starting to burst through at Barnsley House.

One thing I picked up early on is that Annalise laughs – a lot.  Well I say laugh, more, is animated to the max!

Two in one – happy with that.

Incase anyone is wondering, the random hand is indeed another bridesmaid also talking with Annallise (not a random mini size Annalise hand!)

I liked the dog bed under the desk……but mostly I liked the dog – how cute is she?

“What sandwiches, I wasn’t looking at the sandwiches, honest”

Finishing touches to the flowers before they are delivered to the bride.

Yay, the wedding flowers have arrived…..provided by Karen Morgan of Passion for Flowers.

With Pez only in the room next door it’d be rude not to pop around to see the groom.  This is a feature of weddings at Barnsley House I really like.  Everyone under one roof, and it gives the whole day a very relaxed and friendly feel.

Max sheen on those shoes.

Pez’s watch was a wedding day gift from Annalise.

Make-up’s not just for the bride.  I guess it’s in the genes when your aunty works for Harrods.

Love this pic, where the bridesmaids are discussing wobbly teeth.

A few nerves perhaps?

Photobomb :-)

So rain showers stopped play for any ideas of an outdoor wedding ceremony.  It’s a tough call as to ‘go for it or not’, but this was certainly the right one by Barnsley House staff, as it chucked it down right when the ceremony started.

Is this not the cutest kid ever?  Killer outfit, but could someone get him a camera.

Ahh sorted, he has an iPhone.

At this point in the portraits large black clouds were looming overhead at Barnsley House, so we nipped it in the bud and headed back in for cover….just in time too!

There is a soft side to Annalise – I knew it!

Cheers :-)

With speeches over and a need for some fresh air, I escaped with Pez and Annalise for a couple of early evening portraits before first dance.

Annalise’s stand in groom if Pez hadn’t showed! Sexuality aside, they make a great couple ;-)

As the light faded there was only one place you needed to be – the dance floor.

I don’t think I’ve ever shot a first dance with such a variety of background colours going on.  And yes, for the keen eyed amongst you Annalise did have a 2nd dress for the evening.
