A few Birtsmorton Court wedding photos from Duncan and Sam’s wedding in September 2011.
September is a great month to get married (I am bias though as I too got married in the month of September!). It’s usually fine weather, the light is great at that time of year, the evenings are still light till past 8pm and with a typical English summer you can rest assured September is the better month!
Sam started her wedding day at the nearby Puckrup Hall where she got ready with hair and make-up. It’s only a short trip from their to Birtsmorton Court so is often used by wedding couples. All eyes were on the weather though, as some dark clouds had been spotted….the question was, at what point would they burst!?
Wedding hair styling was by the fantastic Chris Fordham.
At this point it’s possibly worth pointing out what’s happening. Well, the bridesmaids were very cleverly making bows out of ribbon for the wedding car – something I’d not seen before and I must say they were very good.
Sometime wedding dresses are hung in beautiful windows, occasionally ‘in a tree’ but more often than not it’s hard to find a beautiful spot so ‘in the cupboard’ will have to do!
I lie it when brides get wedding gifts from their husband to be. The expressions are always priceless.
Birtsmorton Court bathed in beautiful September sunlight.
There were a fair few ‘little ones’ at this wedding. The question is, will they perform on the day?
Ahhhh, angelic, just as we had hoped.
It’s great to have your bridesmaids (or guests) involved in your wedding day. Here Sam’s bridesmaid sang during the signing of the register…..meanwhile the little flower girl needed more of a close up than her seat was allowing.
A quick dash through the confetti whilst trying not to knock over the unaware toddler!
That dark sky only mean one thing – BIG rain was on it’s way.
No sooner had the rain done it’s thing, the sun came back out for some beautiful evening light.
I love this shot of the couples guest during the speeches.
Onto the dance floor with a little more singing courtesy of Sam’s sister.
What better way to round of your wedding day at Birtsmorton Court than with some fantastic fireworks across the moat.
