Over the lovely bank holiday weekend I was busy blasting out weddings like never before! It’s not quite a holiday when you have three weddings in a row to photograph, but what made it magical for me was the difference as ever between them all. The first of my triple header was a garden wedding at Barnsley House in Gloucestershire for Paul & Heather.
Whatley Manor wedding photos – Jeff & Anne
If you’re looking to pick the perfect autumnal day for a wedding, Jeff & Anne must have hit a home run. With Whatley Manor as a backdrop the photos would certainly turn up trumps. September offers the kind of light you don’t get in the height of summer. Yes the evenings are closing in sooner, but when you have […]
Outdoor wedding at Whatley Manor – Jeff & Anne preview
A quick preview of Jeff & Anne’s beautiful outdoor wedding at Whatley Manor from this weekend. If you’re having a small wedding this will be one to watch out for. Whatley Manor is a splendid Boutique Hotel in the Costwolds catering for a limited number of weddings each year, providing the perfect balance of intimacy and luxury. […]
Barnsley House wedding photography – Pez & Annalise
BOOM….. Annalise is in the room. That’s how it feels when you meet the lovely Annalise. On 1st May I was at the delightful Barnsley House for the wedding of Pez & Annalise. What a wonderful couple they are, full of energy, excitable, appreciative, yet cool, calm and collected (Pez at least). Maybe it’s the […]
Small wedding at Barnsley House – James & Jo
It was only a few weeks ago I was at Barnsley House (for Anton & Katherine’s wedding) however this time around it was to be something even more intimate, with only 10 guests and the couple themselves. A small wedding at Barnsley House was all James & Jo wanted. Less attention on themselves, and only […]
Winter wedding at Barnsley House – Anton & Katherine
Can I have a favourite wedding venue? Does one in fact exist, as it’s very much dependent on the day itself I guess. However, Anton & Katherine’s winter wedding at Barnsley House has to tick a lot of boxes. Due to it’s beautiful garden Barnsley House is a wedding venue that has traditionally catered more for […]
Ellenborough Park wedding photos – Daniel & Noelia
Not all weddings follow convention. Daniel & Noelia’s day (well the planning anyhow) was no exception. They first came to me as Noelia had fallen in love with my photography, yet they didn’t really have a wedding venue planned, so to say they were booking me ahead of the key events could be considered an […]
The Hare and Hounds wedding photos – Daren & Ruth
Daren & Ruth’s wedding booking came very late by typical standards, only securing my services about two months before their wedding date. Clearly they must be a laid back couple, or simply happy to go with any photographer who was available ;-) Once we met up and started chatting, I realised it wasn’t the […]
Civil Partnership at Ellenborough Park – Steve & Graham
My routine normally evolves around weddings at the weekends, but this week saw me photograph a Civil Partnership at Ellenborough Park in Gloucestershire instead. I’ve photographed a couple of Civil Partnerships over the past few years, each very different. On this occasion it was an intimate ceremony with only 13 guests, followed by reception drinks […]
