Small wedding at Barnsley House – James & Jo

It was only a few weeks ago I was at Barnsley House (for Anton & Katherine’s wedding) however this time around it was to be something even more intimate, with only 10 guests and the couple themselves.  A small wedding at Barnsley House was all James & Jo wanted.  Less attention on themselves, and only a few close friends & family to witness the ceremony then enjoy some fine dining in the Rosemary Suite to conclude.

For one of my first weddings of 2014, James & Jo hadn’t made it easy for me.  Choosing to have the wedding ceremony at 5pm kinda leaves me with total darkness…albeit a few tea lights!  This does somewhat limit the options when it comes to photography (being as it’s all about the light), but who am I to grumble ;-) I did decide to get to the venue a little earlier than planned though, in the hope of catching the last light of the day, which thankfully meant I captured a couple of great venue shots at dusk…and just one frame lit with natural daylight.

With only short coverage required I’ve picked just a handful of favourites from James & Jo’s intimate wedding to give you a small recap of the day.

The room on the right here of Barnsley House is where the wedding ceremony was held.

The last glimpse of daylight, just enough to capture a portrait of James before the wedding ceremony.

Boys will be boys :-)

Geek alert – ISO8000 for anyone wishing to know!  Yes, it was VERY dark.

I believe that was on FB within seconds.

Barnsley House has such a cosy atmosphere inside, making it a great venue for small intimate weddings.

Group photos.  Yes, even with only 10 guests I still shot a few groups.  Yet again though, boys will be boys :-)
